Welcome to the Information Systems Advisory Board

The Information Systems Advisory Board (ISAB) was recognized by the Board of Supervisors, and in 1992 they placed ISAB as a subcommittee of the Countywide Criminal Justice Coordination Committee (CCJCC) with the following scope and objectives:

  • Establish a permanent multi-agency/multi jurisdiction Information Systems Advisory Board for justice information systems,
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of enterprise justice information systems to support the collective needs of the justice community,
  • Improved and innovate information systems design to enhance data sharing,
  • Develop the capability to link justice information systems by establishing automated interfaces,
  • Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data sharing roadmap among the Justice Community,
  • Coordinate with other advisory bodies established by Los Angeles County or with other agencies as directed by CCJCC,
  • Ensure coordinated development and cost effectiveness and recommend funding alternatives, and
  • Establish security and transparency standards to ensure enterprise-wide criminal justice data governance.

About us

The Information Systems Advisory Board is an intergovernmental, multi-disciplinary organization operating on behalf, and under the funding and direction of, the Los Angeles Criminal Justice agencies: Superior Courts, County and Municipal Departments of Criminal Justice, including Law Enforcement, Prosecution, Public Defense and Probation. The ISAB Funding Agencies provide executive (CEO-level) governance representation to the Countywide Criminal Justice Coordination Committee (CCJCC) and, accordingly, provide Technical Leadership (CIO-level) to the governance of ISAB Operations.

ISAB is guided by a vision of a Justice Community in which all partner agencies work towards the common enterprise goals for the availability of comprehensive, timely, reliable, shared data, and enterprise-wide justice information.

The mission of ISAB is to coordinate the development and implementation of integrated justice information solutions, to support the delivery of criminal justice and public safety by efficiently providing accessible and accurate information, to provide informed data driven decision-making, and to enhance the quality of the management of justice systems and programs.
